What do you get
when you mix
one Commander ON the International Space Station,
a Band of Bare Naked Ladies
and a Gleek of College students?
A song about our planet written from space!
Thank you, Commander Chris Hadfield, for loving music, revering our planet and sharing your beautiful soul.
Written by Commander Chris – aboard the International Space Station – the song is called “I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)”. He is performing with Ed Robertson, the rest of the Barenaked Ladies and the Wexford Gleeks from Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts.
This was taped at the CBC studios in Toronto.

Wow…what a wonderful video…you’ve made my day!
Technology…!
Wowsers!
Isn’t that a Commander full of fun?!
Oh this is such a heartwarming uplifting video. Thank you so much!
I suspect that Commander Chris Hadfield just fulfilled a childhood dream! I mean about singing in a well known band…never mind being up in space!
Oh Amy.. how special… that lovely man, those beautiful words, and gosh, what exquisite young girls – shiny hair, pure profiles, clear complexions and bright eyes. – weren’t they something…
It really is a remarkable thing that Commander Chris orchestrated. He’s a big kid himself!!
Holy universal music making! How fun was THAT?!
Most excellent!!
And wouldn’t you have loved being right there with him? Admit it, Mel! You would have been on the other side of the window peeking in at us – in some sort of Halloween get-up!
That is amazing, incredible what we can do now, I loved it. What an experience for all.
I LooooooooooooooooooVE technology! Amazing.
Sweeet. I Love. xxx
I want to go to the ISS and get his autograph.
